A note from Mary:
When I was five years old, I watched Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory for the first time. I vividly remember watching the scene when Mike Teavee uses Wonka-Vision to transport himself into the TV. For months, I genuinely believed I could do the same thing. I wanted nothing more than to jump through the screen and be where the actors are. I spent a lot of my childhood escaping into stories- through movies, musicals, and television. Stories helped me make sense of the world.
As I have grown, I have become deeply moved by art that communicates truth and beauty. As I pursue truthful moments in acting, I aim to bring characters to life that embody the authentic human experience in all of it's vibrant colors.
I've studied Acting under Lee Eskey and Katelyn Slater at John Paul the Great Catholic University, training primarily in Stanislavski and Meisner Technique. I also recieved training in Acting for the Screen and Musical Theater. I have loved exploring both film and theater as artistic mediums as I have participated in well over fifty theatrical productions and short-films in my lifetime.
Some of my favorite theatrical roles have included Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Beatrice (Much Ado About Nothing) and Sonya (Uncle Vanya). In film, I have played the driven and spunky female leader, the sarcastic and witty best friend and tender love interests. I also have experience in various creative roles in film and theatre; creative producer, 2nd assistant director, dance captain, scene coach, script supervisor etc...
When I'm not doing acting, I enjoy being in nature, family time, praise & worship, driving along the beach with all of the windows down, line dancing, disney parks and reading. I'm also Barista trained and start every day with a coffee; my current go-to is an iced honey latte with almond milk!
